Some Juniors Play For Fun and the Rest of Us Play to Change our Position

The quest to control your ball, to win holes and make pars and birdies is what attracts us to the game. Wherever we are at TODAY is NOT where we want to be next month.

We seek knowledge, direction and a path to change our position: If you are new, you want some trust that you can "get around" the course. If you are in the 100's you want 90's, 90's yes, you want 80's, 70's you so so want the lower 70's. It is a journey, and I CAN HELP

I'm you. My journey started in 1973 in Western Colorado. A kid who wanted to be an athlete but lacked size. Small kids do not play football, basketball and baseball past the small field. Enter golf and it was an instant attraction to changing my position. As a self-taught player, high school, 4 years of college golf was pretty good and then a realization.

While I had achieved skill, I was not going to reach my ultimate goal of the PGA Tour.  I became a club pro and started my next journey... teaching golf and helping others on their journey.

I have learned so much and I knew that I could serve other players and help them shortcut their journey and change their position.

We are all tempted to Look For Easy

Looking For the EASY WAY:  I went down the "quick fix rabbit hole of thinking there was a shortcut and in 1977 I answered a Golf Digest ad for the "Magic Move of Golf". When it arrived in the mail I anxiously studied. Eight pages in an orange binder and after I was done hitting 500 balls trying this "Magic Move" I still had a weak slice.

After forty-two years of teaching golf, I can assure you it has never been easier to learn to change your position than it is now, but it is a process and if you want to CHANGE YOUR POSITION. I can help. But first I want you to ask a burning question? Why Trust me? These day there are so many "experts" online teaching  golf.

Your Junior Golfer Requires a Connected Parent

I've taught golf for 42 years and built the largest school-based junior program in the country. Here's what I know:

If your junior doesn’t have these 2 Critical Elements they will struggle:

  • One-on-one Instruction & A Connected Parent.

Without these two elements progress stalls. Period.

I understand — most parents aren’t sure how to help their junior golfer.
You might not play golf… or maybe you do, but not well enough to feel confident guiding them.

That’s exactly why I built this system. You don’t need to be a golfer — you just need the right roadmap. I’ll show you how to support their growth every step of the way.

Why Trust Me to Help You Change Your Junior Golfers Position with Golf ?

Experience : I haven't had a real job for 40 plus years other than helping other players change their position. It is amazing to teach every day and still very exciting for me to help players on their journey to change their position.

I just teach players how to change their position. I am a different PGA Professional. I don't sell shirts or tee times and I am 100% sure that no amount of views, or followers can replace experience learned from "in the trenches" instruction day after day. The ability to analyze high speed video, the ability to plan a course of action, the ability to communicate this plan no matter who you are: weekend warrior, competitive junior, or new player.  I know, I have lived, and I have taught thousands of you on the journey. I can make it easier for you.

I am a student of "learning" I was confused and initially and thought that information was the answer.  I quickly learned that information was a mere 30 percent of the picture.   The other 70 % lied in my ability to teach players how to FIX THEMSELVES.

Three Steps to Learning Motor Skills, Like Golf

Cognitive ( The 30%)- Do you understand what the golf swing is all about?

Associative- (Part of the 70%) Do you know how to practice getting your brain and body to work together?

Autonomous- (Other Part of the 70%) Can you adjust yourself?

I Utilize a Feedback Loop:

Step 1: Provide Instruction to players

Step 2: Assign specific "homework" for the lesson

Step 3: Skills Test the Lesson

Step 4: Utilize High Speed Video to analyze and share feedback for the lesson.

Step 5: Adjust and Repeat

OMG was this easy once I stopped thinking like a golf pro and started thinking about how humans learn motor skills like golf. In both academics and athletics, feedback is what drives improvement — it shows us where we stand and what to adjust next. Without consistent feedback golfers are left guessing, and their ability to build real, lasting skill becomes extremely limited. I am a feedback expert.

Combining my Experience and a Feedback Loop my clients have found how easy it is to Change Their Position. I guarantee results:

My Offer

No fancy sales funnels, because I am not selling.  I am helping your junior transform their game and change their position.
My fees are set to be affordable yet; make you commit as I only want success stories.

My fees are as follows:
$750 for a 3-month Change of Position

The question is NOT will you invest in me rather will you invest in your junior golfer to do the work? You are investing in their desire to change their position.

Better golf is for a lifetime and if my guidance can both shortcut the time for your junior golfer to change their position and help them further down the scoring ladder... then let's go.

I Teach:  Swing Mechanics, High Results Practicing, Better Thinking, Lower Scores

Definition of Private Instruction: (70%) Private golf instruction is one-on-one coaching tailored specifically to a golfer’s swing, goals, and learning style. It offers personalized feedback, skill development, and practice strategies that group lessons or online tips can’t match. This instruction should be applied regularly to create skill acquisition.

Golf Knowledge (30%) is the combination of understanding both how the swing works and how to train effectively. It includes my 9 Fundamental Movements found in every great player, along with proven learning mindsets, practice plans, and simple hacks to get more out of every session. The goal is not just hitting balls, but maximizing learning with every rep. The more knowledge a player brings to practice, the faster skills develop and confidence grow.

If you want to change position, make a 90 day commitment and I guarantee you results or you pay nothing. No BS, no sales, I guarantee results or you don't pay.
  1. Do you have a minimum of 3 hours a week to work on your golf game skills? Do you trust yourself? I will customize a practice plan to match those hours. I started my journey to change positions with 20 plus hours a week and I would have loved someone to tell me how to utilize that time commitment correctly.

Feeback Loop

1

Your Game, Your Goals, Your Needs

Before we do anything, I want to know who you are as a golfer.
You’ll fill out a simple questionnaire covering:

  • Your current scores and strengths

  • Pain points like slicing, chunking, or distance loss

  • Time available to practice

  • Injuries or mobility concerns

  • Goals (score-based, skill-based, or competitive)

This personalized intake ensures your training is tailored to YOU. No cookie-cutter content.

2

Video Analysis &
Remote Review

You’ll send me your swing videos (from multiple angles) through the Coach Now app.
Then we connect on a 1-on-1 Zoom or Google Meet call to go over the footage together.

Here’s what happens next:

  • I break down what your swing is doing using high-speed video

  • I identify flaws and missed movement patterns

  • I explain why it’s happening and what to focus on first

  • We create an attack plan based on your unique body mechanics and goals

Then, I assign specific videos from my Blueprint library, along with custom drills and movement workouts that match your needs.

3

Train Smarter. Get Results.
Repeat the Loop

For the next 1–2 weeks, you follow the plan.
You’ll:

  • Watch your assigned video lessons

  • Complete drills and movement routines

  • Log skill test scores (inside Coach Now)

  • Track how your swing and shots are improving

When you're ready, you send updated swing videos for a fresh review.
I analyze again, we connect, and your training evolves — just like an elite athlete’s development cycle.

The Blueprint:
9 Movements Behind Every Great Swing

Not matter the era, the gender, or the age of the player, all good players have these 9 Fundamental Movement Skills

Tiger in front.PNG

  1. The Start -Grip, stance, posture, alignment, ball position, and mental clarity are the building blocks of a great swing. These must be solid from the beginning to set up success.

  2. On-Plane Swing Center Rotation- Swing movement originates from the inside. If you don’t rotate your swing center on plane, it disrupts the sequence and forces your arms to compensate—leading to inconsistency.

  3. Lower Hips/Pelvis Support-The lower hips and pelvis form the first level of support for maintaining on-plane rotation. Without this base, your swing cannot stay stable or efficient.

  4. Ground Force Utilization- You need to use the ground effectively to position your hips and support your swing center. Ground interaction is critical for power and balance.

  5. Trail Arm Position at the Top-Your trail arm’s elbow and wrist must be correctly positioned at the top of the backswing to transition down-plane and release with both speed and control.

  6. Controlling Separation Angle When Accelerating- Controlling separation angles is critical once you begin accelerating the club. If your base moves too fast or too slow in relation to your swing center, you'll come off plane and lose control.

  7. Lead Arm Connection Through Impact-Maintaining connection with the lead arm through the hitting zone is essential. Without it, the clubhead won’t rotate inward properly to square the face.

  8. Front Side Rotational Speed and Timing-You must rotate the front side of your body out of the way to allow the backside to fire through. This generates speed, controls face angle, and ensures the club is released at the right time for solid contact and spin control.

  9. Timing for Release Point- Physics doesn't lie. When the weighted object (the club head) catches up to the axis point (your lead wrist), it reaches peak velocity. This makes release timing one of the most critical factors in producing consistent, high ball speeds. Contact the center and now you have maximized ball performance. The release point is the final opportunity you have to influence the club head. It’s the last two movements you apply—and they better be timed right.
